Under Baltimore City Code Title 10 the owner has 72 hours from the time the animal entered the shelter, after which it may be rehomed. BARCS asks owners to come in person and not to wait for an email or call back. If you cannot come at once, someone must reach the shelter on your behalf within the 72-hour stray hold.
