Check whether the owner is nearby. If the owner cannot be found, contact Brent Council. If you have the dog and can keep it secure, the council will ask its contractor to collect it; collection may not be immediate, and the contractor will attend only if the dog is contained. Outside the council’s opening times, it advises taking the dog to a vet or rehoming centre for a microchip check, keeping it safe if possible, and contacting the council the next day.
