Maidstone's Dog Control PSPO makes it an offence not to keep your dog on a lead in the town centre, Vinters Park Crematorium and Sutton Road Cemetery, and dogs are excluded from play areas and council tennis courts. You may not walk more than four dogs at once (six under a licensed boarding activity or the council's professional dog walking scheme). The council lists a fixed penalty of £100, reduced to £80 if paid within 14 days, for not keeping a dog under proper control.
