The council's contractor, SDK Environmental Ltd, collects stray dogs from addresses within the St Albans district when a member of the public has the dog, but dogs not kept on a lead or confined will not be collected. A collected dog is taken to the council's designated kennels, and the council says owners can search SDK's website of found dogs or call SDK on option 1 to report a lost dog.
