This policy informs you about the processing of personal data in accordance with the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP) and, where applicable, the EU GDPR.

Data we process
• Search report details: pet name, species, description, photo, missing-since date, location/search radius.
• Owner contact details: email address and (optionally) phone number.
• Sighting reports from finders: place, time, note, optionally photo and phone number.
• Payment data is processed exclusively by our payment service provider Stripe; we do not store card data.
• Technical data (IP address, timestamp) for abuse prevention.
Purposes and legal bases
We process this data to carry out the search campaign: to place ads on social networks, receive sighting reports and notify owners. The legal basis is the performance of the contract and the legitimate interest in an effective pet search.
Disclosure to third parties
• Meta Platforms (ad placement on Facebook/Instagram): the photo and search text are published as an ad; location data is used for regional targeting.
• Stripe (payment processing).
• Vercel and Neon (hosting and database respectively) and Resend (email delivery) as processors.
Some of these providers may process data abroad (including the USA); we rely on recognised safeguards.
Retention and deletion
Search reports and associated photos are retained for the duration of the search and thereafter for a maximum of 12 months, then deleted. You may request deletion of your data at any time.
